To have a perfect meal you need the perfect wine paring 

Micheal roux jr has been credited with creating the worlds best book on paring different food with their respective beverages adaquetly named ''matching food and wine

 

Beef

Beef has a strong taste so normally you would match it to a nice full bodied red wine for example a burgundy

venison

venison is also a really strong earthy taste so it is paired with a red wine that has darkfruits and spices with subtle undertones of oaks pinot noir

chicken

chicken is extremly bland and takes on flavour really well but is normally paired with white wine for example a normandy cidre

veal

veal being a strong flavour in its own right normally get paired with a full bodied wine like a rhone or a pinot grigio

game

game like vension ( also a game animal) is very earth because of the hanging period it goes through so it get paired with red wines that have strong fruity notes like a dolcetto

 

Apart from alcholic beverages many people have started to go away from that and tend to pick a more sober beverage when eating and this has lead to a rise on some companies to produce ads that show that bad side of drinking . one example of this is coca cola's anti drinking ad for christmas which depicts a farther coming home drunk and through an accident trips and destroys the tree and dies after hitting his head on the table.
